Pickleball Club in Santa Cruz, California. Our journey began in 2013 with a half dozen enthusiastic pickleball players who started playing pickleball at Louden Center. As player numbers increased it became clear that more courts were needed. A "Steering Committee" was formed and a vision born. The Steering Committee, along with other dedicated volunteers, have advanced play by getting courts lined in various local venues and by training hundreds of new players. On 8/20/17 four permanent courts were dedicated at Brommer Street Park. In 2018, over a course of 81 days of play, 3,272 players were tallied. Player numbers continue to rise. In June 2019 "The Santa Cruz Pickleball Club, Inc." was introduced as a 501(c)(3) non-profit club and it's Board of Directors opened membership.
